Residential Remodel

This home in the Wing Point neighborhood of Bainbridge Island was a relatively new home with a beautiful interior but an underwhelming exterior.  The street presence was very weak due to a hip roof above the garage and the monolithic horizontal siding. 

 

The owners wanted to give the home a facelift to feel more at home and enhance its street presence to appear more commensurate with the value.  We chose a contemporary farmhouse style with a lighter paint color, wood accents, vertical board and batten and new sconces to break up the existing horizontal monotony.  Through an iterative and collaborative process, we found a way to enhance curb appeal, achieve the desired style, and keep construction within a very modest budget.  See the before and after photos below.
